Villa Eleni is perfectly situated to enjoy the best of what the Peloponnese has to offer. Less than 2 hours from Athens by car and 8kms from Nafplio, which is often described at the most beautiful city in Greece.
The pristine Blue Flag beach of Tolo is less than 2km from Villa Eleni. Here you can take a dip in the long shallow safe sea and sunbathe on the silky soft white sand. Hire a boat or pedalo and explore the stunning uninhabited islands of Romvi and Daskalio where you can put down your anchor in the secluded bay and take swim in the crystal clear sea. You can moor your boat at the tiny island of Coronisi and take the steps up to the small church and the views back across the long sweeping bay of Tolo. After your boat trip visit one of the many tavernas on the sand and soak up the atmosphere.
The Area
Tolo is just one of the many pristine beaches in the area. Also nearby are Drepano, Karathona, Arvanita, Kondili, Kandia each with their own unique charms

Nafplio is a must during your stay, steeped in history and charm you can get lost in the beautiful side streets whilst exploring everything it has to offer. Climb the 857 steps to the top of the Palamidi castle, watch the world go by under the bougainvillea in one the beautiful restaurants or browse the boutiques. There’s a reason why Nafplio is dubbed the most romantic city in Greece.
If you fancy a day out by sea the stunning Islands and of Spetses and Hydra are well worth a visit. Both are vehicle free and the only way to see the island of Hydra is by donkey. Both boast stunning side streets that you can wander down and soak up the atmosphere. Cool off in one of the many tavernas or browse the beautiful boutiques.
Whilst in the area we highly recommend experiencing some of the Classical Greek sites which are so close. Visit the 3,500-year-old citadel and tombs at Mycenae (30 minutes by car) or the ancient theatre of Epidaurus – only 40 minutes away. The area is so rich in ancient Greek history, other sites well worth a visit are Tiryns and Argos and if you fancy a trip a bit further a field the ancient sites of Sparta and the stunning Monmevasia are two hours drive away.
A car is necessary throughout your stay at Villa Eleni due to the remote location of the villa.
